Ultra Lotto 6/58 is the largest of PCSO's five six-ball lotto games. You choose six numbers from a pool of 1 to 58, and if all six match the drawn numbers — in any order — you win the jackpot.
The naming convention runs through the whole family and tells you exactly how each game works: six numbers chosen, fifty-eight to choose from. The others are 6/55 Grand Lotto, 6/49 Super Lotto, 6/45 Mega Lotto, and 6/42 Lotto, each with a smaller pool and correspondingly better odds.
That larger pool is the entire story of this game. With 40,475,358 possible combinations, winners are rare, jackpots roll over for long stretches, and the prize climbs to figures no other PCSO game reaches. Ultra Lotto is built to produce headlines.
Ultra Lotto is drawn three times a week — Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday — at 9:00 PM Philippine time.
Because 6/58 shares its 9PM slot with other games, a single draw night runs several games back to back. When checking a ticket, make sure you are reading the 6/58 row specifically; mixing up 6/58 and 6/49 results is one of the most common checking mistakes we see.
Ticket sales close shortly before the draw, so arriving at the outlet minutes before 9PM on a draw night is cutting it fine.
Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot, but 6/58 also pays for five, four, and three. These figures are calculated directly from the game's mathematics.

The gap between tiers is worth internalising. You are roughly 440,000 times more likely to match three numbers than to win the jackpot. Matching three is the tier a regular player actually encounters from time to time; the jackpot realistically is not.
The peso value of the lower tiers is not fixed. PCSO's six-ball games use a pari-mutuel structure, so the pool for each tier is divided among everyone who matched it that draw — which is why the same tier pays different amounts on different dates. If nobody matches all six numbers, the jackpot rolls over and grows. With odds of 1 in 40.5 million and only three draws a week, rollovers here are the norm rather than the exception — which is precisely how this game produces the prizes it is known for.

Dates restrict you to 1–31, leaving out nearly half the pool. This does not change your odds — every combination is equally likely — but it does put you in the same narrow range as a very large number of other players, so a date-heavy winning combination gets split more ways.
