Frequently Asked Questions

What time is the EZ2 draw?

EZ2 (2D) draws three times daily — 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 9:00 PM, Philippine time, including most holidays. There are no draws on 1 January and during parts of Holy Week.

How much does an EZ2 ticket cost and what does it pay?

A ₱10 minimum play pays a fixed ₱4,000 first prize for matching both numbers in exact order. Like Swertres, you can increase the bet for a proportionally larger prize.

Can numbers repeat in EZ2?

Yes — both numbers are drawn independently from 1–31, so a result like 15-15 is possible and does happen regularly.

What is the number range for EZ2?

Both numbers are drawn from 1 to 31. This is different from Swertres which uses 0–9. The range 1–31 gives 961 possible ordered combinations (31 × 31).

Is there a Rambolito option for EZ2?

Yes. A Rambolito play wins in either order for ₱2,000, half the straight prize. If both numbers are the same there is only one arrangement, so it plays the same as a straight play.

Are EZ2 and Swertres drawn together?

They draw at the same times (2PM, 5PM, 9PM) and are sold at the same outlets, but they are completely separate games with their own independent draws. Buying one does not include the other.

How long do I have to claim an EZ2 prize?

One year from the draw date. Prizes of ₱10,000 and below can be claimed at any authorized lotto outlet. See our prize claiming guide for details.

How EZ2 Works

EZ2 (2D) is PCSO's fastest, cheapest game. Pick two numbers from 1–31 and match both in exact order to win the fixed ₱4,000 first prize on a ₱10 play. A Rambolito (any-order) play on the same two numbers wins ₱2,000, since two arrangements share the straight prize.

Like Swertres, it draws three times daily at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 9:00 PM Philippine time, so most players are checking either the most recent draw or comparing against yesterday's results.

With numbers drawn from 1 to 31, there are 961 possible combinations (31 × 31), making the odds 1 in 961 — slightly better than Swertres's 1 in 1,000. Each number is drawn independently, so repeats (like 15-15) are possible and do occur.

EZ2 Odds & Prize Tiers

Play TypeHow It WorksOddsPrize (₱10 bet)
Straight (exact order)Match both numbers in exact order drawn1 in 961₱4,000
Rambolito (any order)Match both numbers in either order (e.g. 08-23 or 23-08)1 in 481₱2,000

The expected return per ₱10 straight play is ₱4.16 (41.6%). There are no consolation prizes — you either match both numbers or you don't. This simplicity is what makes it popular with first-time lottery players.

EZ2 Tips for Players

  • Understand the number range. EZ2 draws from 1–31 (not 0–9 like Swertres), so double-digit numbers are the norm, not the exception. The range gives you 961 combinations.
  • Don't confuse it with Swertres. EZ2 and Swertres draw at the same times, from the same outlets, but they're separate games with different mechanics. Make sure you're checking the right result.
  • Straight is exact order. A straight play on 08-23 does not win if the draw is 23-08; a Rambolito play on the same numbers wins either way, for a lower prize.
  • Costs add up across games. A ₱10 EZ2 play and a ₱10 Swertres play are ₱20 per draw, and each is an independent chance — playing both does not improve the odds of either.
