The simplest game PCSO runs, and the one with the shortest odds of all. Two numbers, three draws a day, and a piece of arithmetic most people get slightly wrong.
EZ2 โ 2D Lotto โ asks you to pick two numbers from 1 to 31 and match them in exact order. It is the most straightforward game in the PCSO line-up and carries the shortest odds of any of them.
The two numbers are drawn independently, which means repeats are possible: results like 05-05 and 01-01 do occur. This detail matters for the maths, and it is the part most people get wrong.
You will sometimes see EZ2's odds quoted as 1 in 930. That figure assumes the two numbers must be different โ 31 possibilities for the first, 30 remaining for the second.
But because each position is drawn independently and repeats do happen, the correct count is 31 ร 31 = 961. Your odds on a straight play are 1 in 961.
Even at 1 in 961, EZ2 offers the best headline odds of any PCSO game โ better than Swertres at 1 in 1,000, and vastly better than any six-ball game.
EZ2 is drawn every day at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 9:00 PM Philippine time, on the same schedule as Swertres.
As with Swertres, a ticket is valid for one specific draw time. Check the time printed on your ticket before comparing it against any published result โ our results pages list 2PM, 5PM, and 9PM separately for exactly this reason.
EZ2 offers the same two play types as Swertres, simplified by having only two positions:
| Play type | Example | Combinations covered | Odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight | 07-19, exact order | 1 | 1 in 961 |
| Rambolito | 07-19 in any order | 2 | 1 in 481 |
Rambolito covers both arrangements of your two numbers, halving the odds against you in exchange for a lower payout. If both your numbers are the same there is only one arrangement, so Rambolito does not apply.
Mark two numbers from 1 to 31 on the play slip and indicate straight or Rambolito. A play costs โฑ10. Lucky Pick is available.
One genuine consideration with EZ2: because the pool stops at 31, every number in the game corresponds to a day of the month. This makes date-based picks extremely common, and heavily played combinations get split among more winners when they hit. It does not change your odds โ but it does affect what you keep.
EZ2 is the entry point to PCSO lotto for most players: cheap, simple, drawn three times a day, and with the shortest odds available. The prizes are correspondingly modest and fixed rather than rolling.
If you like the frequency and simplicity but want a larger prize, Swertres runs on the identical schedule with a third digit. If you want jackpot-scale prizes, the six-ball games are covered in our odds comparison โ though the odds there are in a completely different league.
Sign the back of your ticket immediately, photograph both sides, and keep it flat and dry โ lotto tickets are printed on thermal paper and fade badly in heat. Prizes above โฑ10,000 are subject to a 20% withholding tax, and every winning ticket expires one year after the draw date.
Our step-by-step claiming guide covers where to go for each prize size, the documents you need, and the scams that follow every large jackpot.
