How to Play 6D Lotto

A completely different animal from the six-ball games โ€” order matters, repeats are allowed, and you can win on a partial match. Here is how the digit games actually work.

๐Ÿ”ข 6 digits, exact order๐Ÿ“… Tue, Thu & Sat at 9PM๐ŸŽฏ 1 in 1,000,000

How 6D differs from ball lotto

6D Lotto looks superficially like the other games but works on completely different principles, and this trips up a lot of first-time players.

Because each of six positions has ten possibilities, the total number of outcomes is 10 ร— 10 ร— 10 ร— 10 ร— 10 ร— 10 = 1,000,000.

When it is drawn

6D Lotto is drawn Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 PM Philippine time โ€” the same nights as 6/42 Lotto.

6D and 4D never draw on the same day: 6D takes Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, while 4D takes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Between them, one digit game runs every day except Sunday.

How to play

Choose six digits, each from 0 to 9, and mark them in order on the play slip. Lucky Pick is available if you would rather the terminal generate the sequence. A play costs โ‚ฑ25.

Unlike the ball games, there is no "any order" option in 6D โ€” the sequence you mark is the sequence that must be drawn.

Prize tiers: why partial matches matter

6D pays on a sliding scale based on how many digits you match counting from the last position backwards. This structure is what makes the game far more forgiving than its million-to-one headline suggests.

You matchPrize tierOdds
All 6 digits1st prize (jackpot)1 in 1,000,000
Last 5 digits2nd prize1 in 100,000
Last 4 digits3rd prize1 in 10,000
Last 3 digits4th prize1 in 1,000
Last 2 digits5th prize1 in 100

That bottom tier is the striking one: at 1 in 100, matching the last two digits is by a wide margin the most attainable prize in any PCSO game. The payout is correspondingly modest, but the hit rate is real.

Note that the match must run from the end of the sequence. Matching the first four digits and missing the last two wins nothing; matching the last four wins the third prize.

Current prize amounts for each tier are published with every draw on our results pages.

A note on strategy

Because every digit position is drawn independently and repeats are permitted, there is no combination that is more or less likely than any other. 0-0-0-0-0-0 has exactly the same one-in-a-million chance as any sequence that looks more "random".

The only practical consideration is the same one that applies everywhere in lotto: heavily played sequences โ€” repeated digits, ascending runs, memorable dates โ€” get shared among more winners when they come up.

If you win

Sign the back of your ticket immediately, photograph both sides, and keep it flat and dry โ€” lotto tickets are printed on thermal paper and fade badly in heat. Prizes above โ‚ฑ10,000 are subject to a 20% withholding tax, and every winning ticket expires one year after the draw date.

Our step-by-step claiming guide covers where to go for each prize size, the documents you need, and the scams that follow every large jackpot.

Play responsibly. You must be 18 or older to play PCSO games. Decide what you are comfortable losing before you buy, and treat it as the cost of entertainment rather than an investment.
